Thomas A. Thompson.
Mr. Thompson has
been prosecuting crimes in Williams County since 1997. He previously
served as
an Assistant Prosecutor to former Williams County Prosecutors,
William A. Bish and Craig L. Roth.
In 2002, Mr. Thompson was promoted to Chief Assistant
Prosecutor and served in that capacity until his
appointment as Williams County Prosecuting
Attorney in January 2007. Following a successful election campaign
in 2008 he retained his position and proudly serves as the Williams
County Prosecutor to this day.
Mr. Thompson is a 1997 honors graduate of the
University of Toledo, College of Law.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, cum
laude, from Tiffin University in 1994.
Mr. Thompson is a member of the Ohio State Bar
Association, Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association, National
District Attorneys Association and Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Locally, Mr. Thompson is a past president of the Williams
County Bar Association, where he currently serves on the Bar
Admissions and Domestic Relations Committees.
Mr. Thompson is a former president and board member of the Bryan Kiwanis Club,
a current member of
the Board of the Williams County Law Library, and a current member of the
Williams County Juvenile Court Advisory Committee.
Throughout his service to Williams County, Mr.
Thompson has also been a member of the law firm of Bish, Butler,
Thompson & Richards Ltd. where he has been a partner since 2002.l
